Back while I was swimming, I started having some shoulder problems. I figured it was just from bad form. Once I started breathing on both sides, the pain got much better.
Well, fast forward to now, about a month and a half ago, I started having pain again. Certain things in my current program really bothered it. Me being me, pushed past the pain. No pain, no gain, right? I guess that's not how it's supposed to be once you get old.
Anyway, it's gotten to the point where I have HAD to lay off. I've modified and even eliminated certain exercises that we are doing. Last week, I was at the Dr. for a follow-up with Fibro.. She was testing my reflexes/strength and noticed me wince when she pulled on my arm. She asked if I had a problem with my shoulder. I explained, and she probed around. Yup. Rotator cuff.
So, I've been banned from anything that stresses my shoulder, put on an icing and anti-informatory regimen for the next two weeks. Luckily for me, I will be out of town for a week, and probably won't be working out then. :)
